LPSD Students Excel in State Science Fair February 18, 2026 Several LPSD students represented the district at the Alaska State Science Fair, with students from Chignik Lake and Nondalton earning recognition in their categories. Congratulations to all participants!
District Welcomes New Special Education Director February 10, 2026 Lake and Peninsula School District is pleased to announce Sarah Johnson as our new Special Education Director. Sarah brings 15 years of experience in rural Alaska education and will be working to expand services across all ten village schools.

Winter Weather Procedures Reminder January 15, 2026 As winter weather conditions can affect school operations in our remote communities, please remember to check your email and the district website for closure announcements. Remote learning plans will be activated when necessary.
Parent-Teacher Conferences Scheduled January 8, 2026 Spring parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for February 20-22. Parents will receive sign-up information from their individual school offices.
